Rodney Robinson is the 2019 National Teacher of the Year. He is a 20-year veteran educator in Richmond, Virginia, and currently teaches at Virgie Binford Education Center, a grades 6-12 school inside the Richmond Juvenile Jail. He has spent the last year traveling the country and advocating for economic and cultural equity in our schools. Robinson is also committed to ending the school-to-prison pipeline.
