Emily Peterson
Emily Peterson is a high school student-athlete from Arvada, Colorado. She testified on behalf of Alyssa's Youth Concussion and Mental Health Protection Act, named in honor of her sister, Alyssa Peterson, which expanded Colorado's youth concussion education to include mental health awareness. She also helped launch AlyssasLight.org, a nonprofit dedicated to youth mental health awareness, concussion education, bipartisan advocacy, and community support. She hopes to become a pediatrician someday and continue advocating for young people.
